Renaming dozens of PDFs by hand is slow and error-prone. With AI, you can infer document type, issuer, dates, and key details to produce consistent, human-readable filenames in seconds.
Before you start
- Gather your PDFs in a single folder.
- Decide on a naming pattern (e.g., issuer_date_type_subject).
- Create a small test set before running a large batch.
Step-by-step
1) Upload your files
Open the homepage and drop your PDFs. Large batches are supported. The app queues files and shows progress.
2) Review AI suggestions
The AI analyzes each document and proposes a filename such as "acme-bank_2024-12-01_statement_q4.pdf". You can edit suggestions inline if needed.
3) Apply and download
Approve the batch and download a ZIP with all renamed files. The original names are preserved inside metadata for traceability.
Tips for accurate results
- Prefer high-quality, text-based PDFs over low-resolution scans.
- Include issuers and dates in your naming pattern for sorting.
- Use the app’s preview to spot outliers before bulk applying.
